The spaces of this apartment were fully renovated with a focus on a play between shadow, light and the passage of air. The spaces and openings are composed in a way that carries the air of the Mediterranean through the double exposure of the house, creating a natural ventilation in all spaces, even in the warmest seasons. For the renovation we analysed and restored the original marble floors, as we after a few months of research managed to find the same cave in Puglia, Italy from where the original floors were from. Our first objects, LS01-03 Lamps, of the LS (light studies series) were made in Washi paper and recuperated marbles, uniquely for the house. Washi paper was tailored to fit each lamp with artisans on Shikoku island, Japan.
